Its World Earth Day today. Let us take a vow on this 26th Earth Day to save our mother earth from our carelessness and do the tasks of Earth-Friendly activities on daily basis. The sooner we proceed to our protective thoughts and action; the better would be the chances of a Pollution Free Earth for today and a brighter tomorrow!

What we can do – Use public transport whenever possible; Separate garbage at source; Use plastic bags to a minimum; Increase awareness about environment; Avoid chemical pesticides; Reduce, reuse & recycle; Reduce paper consumption; Save water; plantation and many more.

One good thought from one of the Femina readers, Nidhi Lakhotia, Hyderabad– “People are so addicted to Farmville on Facebook. Every day they are harvesting, adopting animals and making their farms larger. I wish they’d devote at least 10 per cent of their play time to real small-scale farming or planting a sapling. The world would become a greener and a cleaner place. Let’s take initiative and start a real Farmville. I have planned my sapling, have you?”
